1. Prove you're the best Instagram photographer
It’s no secret that being an “Instagram boyfriend”, a term used to refer to the invisible person behind the camera, makes you look good in front of your crush. If you’re looking to plan a date where you can show off your photography skills, look no further than the ArtScience Museum!
Located at Marina Bay Sands, the ArtScience Museum is home to the Insta-worthy Future World Exhibit. This is a permanent exhibit in the museum, and is a collaboration with teamLab, a renowned group of artists from Japan. Explore various light installations, and immerse yourself in a magical world of art, science, magic and metaphors!
Tip: For the best photos, make sure you have your cameras ready when you visit the Crystal Universe exhibit, which features over 170,000 LED lights that respond to motion.
2. Enjoy a birds-eye view of Sentosa

If you want to escape the crowds and enjoy some quiet time with your significant other, getting a ride on the Singapore Cable Car is the perfect place to do so! You’ll get a cabin of your own, where you can take in the gorgeous view of the Singapore skyline while enjoying some alone time.
Want to take the romance up another notch? Singapore Cable Car offers in-cabin dining, where you can surprise your date with a special meal. There are 3 different meal options for you to choose from, depending on your budget. For more details, please refer to the Singapore Cable Car website.
3. Let her know you love animals

If your date loves animals, make sure you take her to the Singapore Zoo! Home to over 300 species, the world-renowned rainforest zoo is the perfect place for you to impress her with your animal knowledge! As the park is currently operating on limited capacity, visitors are advised to book a time slot online prior to their visit.
Make your visit an extra special one with one of the Singapore Zoo’s special experiences, which include animal feeding sessions and behind-the-scenes tours. Due to safe distancing measures, not all experiences are available, so make sure you check their website before heading down.
Our recommendation: Elevate your date to new heights by taking her to feed the giraffes at the Wild Africa exhibit.
4. Impress her with your knowledge of Singapore
We might’ve grown up in Singapore, but how much do we really know about our home? If you’ve paid attention in Social Studies class in school, now is the time for you to show off your knowledge.
While walking tours may not be the first thing that comes to mind when we think of dates, exploring a neighbourhood in Singapore on foot is a good opportunity for the two of you to stroll side by side and get to know each other better.
Learn more about our heritage neighbourhoods from expert guides, and explore off the beaten tracks that you might not have heard of. This is the perfect chance for you to exchange stories with your date, reminiscing what life was like growing up in Singapore!
Monster Day Tours is Singapore’s award-winning walking tour operator, and they currently offer 6 different walking tours across the island. To find out more or make a booking, do refer to their website.
5. Go on a well-deserved break from life

2020 has been a tough year for everyone, and we all deserve a break. Take your significant other on a staycation, where you can pamper them and show them how much you love them.
Staycations can be expensive, especially if you choose to stay at a more well-known hotel. Unknown to most of us, Singapore is home to many boutique hotels, each offering a unique stay!
We recommend staying at The Great Madras, located in the heart of Rochor. The hotel has a variety of rooms to choose from, ranging from a hostel to a suite. Facilities include an in-house bistro as well as a barber right in the hotel lobby. The best part of the hotel is its vintage-style rooms and swimming pool, which are perfect for capturing those insta-worthy shots to make it seem like you’re overseas!
For a full list of hotels where you can use your SingapoRediscovers vouchers, please refer to the Singapore Tourism Board website.
6. Take her on rides and hold on to her tight

Whether you’re a pair of young lovebirds or a couple looking to relive their younger days, a theme park is the perfect place for a date! From gravity-defying roller coasters to all-time favourite rides, Universal Studios Singapore (USS) has it covered.
The first and only Universal Studios theme park in Southeast Asia, USS promises a whole day of fun, with 24 rides, attractions and shows! The park is only opened from Thursday to Sunday, with limited tickets available, so do plan ahead to avoid letting your date down. Shows, street entertainment and selected experiences are also currently unavailable due to safe distancing measures.
Tip: Take her on the Battlestar Galactica duelling roller coaster ride with 360° rotation for an excuse to hold her hand tight.
7. Tell her she’s the prettiest flower of them all
If flowers are the ultimate symbol of romance, there’s no better place to profess your love than Gardens By The Bay! There, you’ll be surrounded by some of the world’s most beautiful flora, but if you play your cards right, you’ll be leaving with the prettiest flower of them all.
Apart from the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome, the garden also boasts outdoor attractions for you to explore. If you’re planning a trip to Gardens By The Bay, do note that you will need to book a time slot due to capacity limitations.
Tip: The two conservatories are known for their beautiful interior design, making it home to countless photo spots as well.
8. Unleash your inner child at an indoor wonderland

Let loose and have fun with her at an indoor playground that promises to have something for everyone of all ages! The Canopy Park at Jewel spans over 14,000sqm, with over 7 different attractions and experiences available.
Whether you’re looking to get lost in a maze together or bounce amongst the trees on nets, there’s something for every couple at this giant playground. Do note that certain attractions require an additional top-up.
Tip: Take her to the Canopy Bridge where you’ll get a chance to hold her hand as you walk across a glass bridge suspended 23m in the air.
Make sure you leave her impressed
