The 6 Best Nightclubs in Singapore

After being shut down for more than 2 years, nightclubs in Singapore are slowly reopening their doors to patrons and tourists! Starting 19 April, the city that never sleeps will live up to its reputation once again as nightclubs and karaoke bars return to business, although with some restrictions.

We’ve made a list of the best Singapore nightclubs for those who can’t wait to get back on the dance floor.

From EDM clubs to hip hop bars, we’ll include only the best that nightlife in Singapore has to offer! Before that, though, let’s go over the safety requirements in nightlife establishments.

What to do before heading for a night out?

Person taking a covid-19 ART test

You have to take a supervised COVID-19 antigen rapid test (ART) if you’re going to a nightclub that involves dancing. The COVID-19 test is valid for 24 hours and covers the entire duration of the activity.

Online supervised ARTs usually cost S$12 to S20 for on-site testing, so don’t forget to factor that into your night-out budget.

Masks aren’t to be ditched yet, so you should still mask up whenever you’re in an indoor setting, including nightclubs, restaurants, and karaoke establishments. As with any other indoor place, you can only take your mask off when eating or drinking.

1. Zouk

Considered a nightlife institution in Singapore, Zouk is a popular nightclub that’s been around for almost three decades, populated by both locals and tourists

It’s the place where you can groove to the beats of international DJs like Diplo, The Chemical Brothers, Hardwell R3hab, and other EDM hitmakers.

Zouk is a huge complex made up of one wine bar and four nightclubs. There’s the main dance hall, which can house up to 1,500 people, playing techno and house music all night.

Phuture is where hip hop, R&B and urban music are blasted throughout the night, filled with stunning LED-covered walls and ceilings for an added visual treat.

You’ll come across a diverse range of nightclub goers here, from 18-year-olds to nightlife veterans, proving that it's a welcoming place open to everyone!

There may be no better nightclub in Singapore for a night out with your girlfriends than Attica Nightclub!

First, let’s talk about its two levels. Attic Level 1 is known for its blinding flashing lights, massive couches, and R&B beats that will bring out the dancer in you, even if you admittedly have two left feet.

Meanwhile, Attica Level 2 is where the crowd of young people get down to house and electro music. You’ll encounter a mix of locals and expats here, all of whom know how to party the night away.

Attica provides ladies with more drink choices and free desserts like champagne-soaked strawberries, tiramisu with Kahlua shots, and Jager Meister ice cream. You might even score a free 750ml martini bottle if you and your friends are the best-dressed group.

If you ask us, these are enough reasons to bring your girlfriends here this coming weekend!

Perched at the top floor of Marina Bay Sands, Ce La Vi takes nightlife in Singapore to the next level with its incredible parties and roster of local and international DJs.

The main attraction here is the picturesque 360-degree view of the island's skyline which you’ll get a treat of while living it up with your friends. This and the diverse crowd and amazing music, of course.

It’s open 7 days a week, so it’s the perfect spot for after-work drinks and weekend parties. Unlike other nightclubs, though, it closes before midnight, so it’s perfect if you want a chill and early night out.

Location: Marina Bay Sands 1 Bayfront Ave Singapore 018971

Tanjong Beach Club isn’t your typical nightclub in Singapore. It’s located on the beachside, which means you’ll be partying it up out in the open with your friends. so no worries about poor ventilation!

It’s open throughout the week but really only comes alive on the weekends, so expect that it’s quite packed from Saturday to Sunday night.

The best thing about Tanjong Beach Club is it’s more laid back than typical bars and nightclubs in Singapore. It’s not as overwhelming and noisy too, but the music is just as diverse and good!

Location: 20 Tanjong Beach Walk, Sentosa Island, Singapore

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 11 am to 10 pm; Saturday and Sunday, 9 am to 10 pm

5. Bar Rouge

Bar Rouge is one of the most iconic nightclubs in Shanghai that made its way to the tropical shores of Singapore.

When it comes to interior design, we believe that it’s the nightclub in Singapore to beat! There’s the popular cloud-shaped art installation that hangs off the centre bar and the massive floor-to-ceiling windows.

We haven’t seen a nightclub in Singapore with interiors as striking as Bar Rouge’s. So if you like great drinks, loud EDM music, and amazing art, you’ll find all three here!

Location: Floor 71 Swissôtel The Stamford 2 Stamford Rd Singapore 178882

Opening hours: Tuesday to Wednesday, 8 pm to 3 am; Thursday, 8 pm to 4 am; Friday, 8 pm to 5 am; Saturday to Sunday, 12:05 pm to 5 am

6. Yang

Yang is another nightclub in Clarke Quay where you can dance to an array of amazing tunes, including K-pop, EDM, and hip hop. It’s not as huge as other nightclubs in the neighbouring areas, but the crowd and variety of drinks are just as amazing.

We like that it’s a no-frills venue perfect for those who want a slightly chill night out but still want a great crowd and great music.

Overall, the fun and relaxed vibe has made this nightclub a popular hangout spot for young people.
